......Let me tell you about some events.

We are proud to announce that we will be part of the Washington Launch of Ballast Point Brewing on Wednesday, June 19th @6pm.  We are proud to welcome this San Diego brewery to the market.  We will be pouring 3 of their Ipa's:

Big Eye IPA 7% abv & 75 IBU's
Sculpin IPA 7% abv & 70 IBU's
Dorado IPA 9.6% abv & 90 IBU's

We hope that you join us in welcoming Ballast Point to Seattle!

Tuesday, July 2nd @ 6pm we will be hosting Finn River Cidery, what better way to kick off your July 4th celebration!  We will be pouring 4 delicious ciders, (Black Currant Lavender, Dry Hopped, Pear and the release of the 2013 Fire Barrel, descriptions to come) and their will be a Finn River Representative on hand to answer questions, hang out with and have a good time with.  We here she is excited to be coming to the Big City.
Watch a short film about Finn River here.

Burgundian has a great event coming up as well.  Brett Fest, A Celebration of Brettanomyces, takes place Thursday, June 27th and runs through the weekend.  They have put together a great list from the likes of Upright, Boulevard, Vicaris, Elysian, Fremont, the Ram, and many more.  The event kicks off at 10 am when they open.  The theme of the whole event is funk, funky food, funky music, we think you get the point.

......We think that you might want to save these dates.

We are planning some events in the near future which we are putting the final details on, we are working on an event with Finn River Cidery (Early July) and Ballast Point (probably sometime mid to late next week) is coming to the market soon as well.  We will keep you apprised of all the details as we finalize them.  In lieu of that we will take this time to tell you about our next large events.

Hopfest will start on Thursday, October 3rd and run through the weekend.  We are hoping to have a few more fresh hop beers this year, than in past years, that hop harvest is a tricky beast to time right.  As we get closer to the event we will keep you posted with all the details.

Big Wood will start on Thursday, December 5th and run through the weekend.  We know its a long way off, but these things take time to put together and we know you all appreciate a heads up.

We suggest you mark your calenders, talk to your bosses and let them know that you will be taking a little me time on those days.

......Help us Help the Burgundian out!

Sorry for the late notice on this one, we were picking up the pieces of our livers and putting the place back in order after a great Seattle Beer Week.  Tonight the Burgundian (located at 2253 N. 56th St) is hosting an event, "Tap Out Cancer".  We invite you to take down a few beers to take down Cancer, all proceeds go to Fred Hutch Cancer research. Again we apologize for this late announcement.  There will be beers from Fremont, Elysian, Firestone Walker, New Belgium and Boulevard.  We all know that Cancer Sucks!

We are in the planning stages with events, the next major event is Fremont Summer Solstice Parade, June 22nd and 23rd.  Then summer will hopefully be in full swing and we should have some other events planned.  Thanks again for your support in making Seattle Beer Week here at Brouwer's a success.

Beer and Burger Battle, Tuesday, May 14th.  Are you Ready to Rumble!!!  New this year it starts when the doors open, at 11am,  we are asking the brewers to be here by 5pm at the latest.   The formula is simple, each brewery designs a burger centered around beef patty, and brings 3 to 5 special beers, after that the sky is the limit.  We have had breweries bring in Voodoo Donuts to be used as the bun.  We have some really delicious options that will be available this year.
The returning champ is 21st Amendment and the contenders this year are Big Time, Double Mountain, Maui, Green Flash and Snipes.  The winner is determined by highest sales.

An Evening with 12% featuring Stillwater.  12% imports, importers of Evil Twin, Hof ten Dormal to name a few will join us.  We will have 8 draft total, 4 from Stillwater, and other offerings from Evil Twin, Hof Ten Dormal and De Dochtor.
